air filter or no filter??

anyone see any difference at the track with the airfilter than without???

My buddy claims a tenth from removing his filter on his buick(cowl hood). It prolly only gives you an initial bost in HP...throttle response would be better but not peak HP. Most of the old school guys I know run w/o them on thier carbed motors.

there didnt seem to be a difference when i tried it. and out here in west tx, im lucky i didnt suck up a racoon or something.

motors are too expensive to take the risk of sucking something bad in there... IMO

well in the nova which is carberated i dont run a filter, but in the formula ive never taken it out because i didnt know if it would even make any difference... at the track i am not worried about anything sucking through the motor... see f-bodies take theres out but wanted to know if they saw gains??
