Is the License Plate Law still in effect?
The title pretty much says what I'm asking. I've seen a bunch of cars lately without front plates and I was just curious if they were still enforcing the law. I remember the petition thing that went around...but did anything happen?

Well mine is off. The car looks so much better that way. That is the only thing that is "illegal" with my car. Well, until i get my ORY . And, i routinely get passed by cars that are doing the speed limit.(im the one in the fast lane going slow) aka.. i dont speed. So, if i get pulled over for the license plate, the middle aged man in his midlife crisis can get f**ked.

The bill made it to the Senate last year with the license plate changes. Just before voting on it the plate revisions were taken out of the bill. Front plate is still required.

That is true, I got pulled over in my t/a for having no plate, for having it in the winshield and all of the above, so as Iwas told as long as your bracket or area in which the plate goes isn't damaged and the plates not there then can recive a ticket. Most cops I've talked to tell me that it's a way for officers to pull you over if they want to, my mom's benz and lexus never get pulled over though?

A friend actually got a ticket for it being on the windsheild, which is why I took mine off completely, because if a cop walks up to check your stickers he will see the plate and that can give him a reason to write a ticket.
not true. it does not have to be at the very front. mine is on my air dam. it has to be noticable from 60 feet.
