Default Help me decide brand of tires for my '06 Duramax.

I'll be swapping over to 285/75/16 from my 245/75/16. I've been keeping an eye out for the last month trying to see what tires look like in person and whatnot. I was considering the BFGoodrich All Terrain KO, but not too fond of the way the sidewall looks, so I've eliminated them. Anyhow, here are a few brands up in the air for grabs. If there are any that I didn't list that you would recommend, let me know. Thanks.

Michelin LTX M/S
Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo
Nitto Terra Grappler AT

I used to run the Toyo A/T on my supercrew. They have good life and are a decent looking tire. Plus alittle more affordable than the Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo and Nitto Terra Grappler AT.

I've got the Nitto's on my 06 Dura 4X4. They are pretty good price wise, have a excellent look, and are really quiet on the road. I've had em on my last 3 trucks and they seem to wear decent as well.

Just my .02

I ran Dueler MT's on my tacoma and loved them. Great traction off road, and good road manners and I got great miles out of them.

They were MT's but im sure the AT's would be about the same as far as road manners and treadlife go.

Since you're in a Duramax, you might consider looking at Parnelli Jones Dirt Grips. From what I've heard they are designed for heavier truck so you should get good mileage out of them, plus they look aggressive as hell.

I've got the Nitto's on the Dodge. I like them. They're wearing alot better than the Super Swampers I had on my dually. Not noisy either.

I went to Discount today to get an idea of what they look like. I've seen pics of the various tires online, but its hard to make a decision with a pic on the screen. It made it a little easier to see them in person, but still hasn't made up my mind yet. The only way I could tell for sure is if they were on my wheels/truck. A tire looks completely different when they're on a wheel. I seen a truck just like mine the other day with the Michelin 285/75 tires on it and it looked really good, but when I see it today without it on a rim, I wasn't too fond of it. I do like the way the Nitto Terra Grapplers look, but wish I could see them on my truck. Decisions decision...
