I'm very sorry about your loss. It makes me sick to my stomach when I hear about car thefts. Good luck to you! You might want to tell us what area you live in so those of us who might live or work close to that area can get a better idea of where to look.

Please tell us what part of town you live in! This might save someone else's car if they are only stealing in your area.

I'll keep a look out for the car. Shouldn't be hard to spot a T/A with WS6 hood and 16" wheels.

I filed the Police report this morning and called the insurance company. The cop was really nice, was from Buffalo where I grew up. He told me that the Katrina victims are still causing the crime rates to climb. I just hate it. I've parked the car in the driveway many a times and nothing has ever happened. But, i guess it only takes the one time. I am just so full of rage right now.

Sorry to hear about your loss. My truck was stolen once and it took the cops 3 weeks to find it. Settling with insurance company took forever. Don't let them lowball you. Hope everything works out.

Speaking of insurance, what's the procedure for getting paid for a claim on something like this? I mean, what if this was my only means of transportation? I called Nationwide, but they said that an agent would call me back to investigate in two or three days. What's up with that? Also, how long will I have to wait until they decide that my car is gone? The credit union isn't going to cut me any slack on the payments. This just sucks!!

Distinguishable: Ram Air hood, but not a WS6. Standard Trans Am exhaust tips, standard chrome 16" rims. There's a good door-ding on the passenger side quarter panel right above the tires. An SLP rear license plate bracket. No tint on the windows. Has a front license plate, too (no firebird panel). Lastly, there's a green sticker with a #9 on the front window (lower drivers side corner) and a smaller one on the rear window. It's for the Hyatt parking garage. That's all I can think of.

If I remember right they gave me a rental car after I filed my police report. My insurance covered $25 a day on the car. The shitty thing about my insurance they only covered it for 1 month. I a had a custom step side chevy truck and the agent had to figure out all the costs of the items stolen + the truck. All together it took about 6 weeks before I had a check in my hand. It really sucked for me because they could find my truck for three weeks. The insurance agent wouldn't start my claim until they found my truck. When it was all said and done I got a better car out of the deal.
