man i feel you. some people say its just like driving a car, the hell it is. sometimes the horse was being lazy and wouldnt turn, he just kept going straight. when he started to take off fast it felt like i had no control, i was just along for the ride.

hahaha......its funny to hear people's stories who VERY rarely get to ride a horse! I have been riding horses ever since i can remember. But i'm not gonna lie......getting on a horse the first time and trying to get used to it can be kinda scary!! Especially if the horse isn't in the greatest of moods.

Yeah, they can always tell who's afraid, and can tell who doesn't know how or hasn't ridden in a while. Although some horses are better with green riders than others too. My girl and I have 3 horses ourselves and there is only one of them that I can ride. She can ride them all, but I would not call myself an extremely experienced rider either. The other 2 she has, have been trained for barrels and are very leg pressure sensitive so I don't even want to ride them.
Thing is, all horses have different tendancies and different training, so its hard for someone, even those who can ride, to get on a strange horse and know how its going to act. We are a foster home for a horse rescue and get different ones in all the time, other than our 3, and we have both definitely been kicked/bucked off our share breaking in new horses.
