how much power can fully built th350 hold??
it was guaranteed to hold 1000hp and i think im making right at 1000hp now (motor wise)..the tranny is doing great and the car is running low 9s footbraking...im planning to make another 200hp soon, but i dont want to go with a glide yet(although i have one ready to go)
what do you guys think??? DO you think a fully built th350 can hold around 1200hp and launch a 2800lbs car (on the TB ) reliably??? im only aiming for 1.4x 60', so it wont be that violent on the tranny...
btw.the hp is thru the crank...thus tranny, not to the wheels

i can gaurantee your not gonna pick up THAT much in return for how much **** your gonna break. have run trans-break and turned back to foot break for the $$$$. pain in the *** for me but you have a turbo so you need as much spool as you can get. But i run the th350 and love it but the glide would be your best best. not as tall of a gear but is lighter and handle more ****!

The powerband will dictate weather you need a 3 speed or a 2 speed. If you've got a really broad powerband a powerglide will work just fine but if it's peaky, which I'd have to imagine a small engine with a big turbo would be, a Th-350 or Th-400 would be a better choice.

Rossler makes killer transmissions. I would put a glide in your car being that it only wieghs 2800lbs. If you get a rossler glide, you will be able to race all season long with out hurting it and just send it back to him at the end of the year to freshen it up. Let me know and I can call Carl for you.

yeah can you talk to him for me..i have a powerglide just sitting there..its very similar to Garrett at Oddball turbo..his tranny held up to some 8.20 passes in his Ranger..
does he (Carl) build his own or can he use mine and build on top of that??
