Tell him to not screw up a good truck leave it alone. I've been there done that with my own and it was cool at first but I regreted it a couple of years later just because of all the little bs problems especially engine and a/c cooling performance in hot weather. and wound up dropping it back down and stock wheels and tires. Mine is a 98' k3500 ext cab Just my .02 as he gets older he will hate it.

Thats what I was thinking at first too I had a 99 Silverado and put a 3 inch lift on it and all that good stuff. All it did was squeak and rattle and lost all of its smoothness. But hes really set on it and im just trying to get him the best deal possible

Tell him not to do it. I put a 3 inch body lift on my 99 Z71 and hated it. Looks like complete **** even with the gap guards, just save the money and eventually get suspension lift. If he does get the body lift tell him not to forget to order the bumper relocation kit for the back bumper lol.

Ill talk to him and see what he wants to do... Tahoes are the smoothest riding vehicles and he would hate to lose that ride quality.

if your gonna do a body lift you should do it only after a suspension lift. one of my neighbors has a 6" suspension lift and a 3" body lift on his 99 gmc sierra z71. whats kind of weird is that when he bought it it had 157000 miles on it and now its probably close to 200 if not over, and all thats messed up was the starter, and that was before he put the lift on.

oh and dont use absolute suspension. they took forever and a day to do his lift, and they took off a torque arm or something off my other friends camaro and put it back together wrong.
