Default RPM in Lewisville is...

closest to where I live. I'd like to know what y'all think of their work and price. I've got a cam pkg(Tqr2), pulley, ls6 oil pump, and headers sitting in my garage just waiting. I will also need the tune ofcourse.

Only references that had work done by them is appreciated. I could care less about hearsay and opinions otherwise.

Might not want to talk up non-sponsors too much man. I've noticed a lot of it lately. Not trying to be an ***.

The only work I had done at RPM personally was having my UD pulley installed. Good work, the mechanic there really knows his stuff. My car has been dyno'd numerous times there though, and have never had a bad experience w/ them.

One of my buddies had a cam installed by them, and he's never had anything bad to say about them either.

they only took 5 tries to put a clutch in my car and for it not to vibrate so bad my hand would go to sleep when i left it on the shifter. cool thing also he wanted to argue with me about it and say it was normal.

I had my car dyno tuned there in August, I feel they did a really good job. I have just a G5X3, headers, and a lid and put down 422 rwhp. The only "gripe" I have is my cold start up issues aren't worked out since it was around the low 100's all week that week, but I moved to Waco the following week after the tune. They said just to bring it by and they'll fix the issues, so I'm going to have it taken care of in a couple of weeks. I haven't had any bad experiences with them. I also have a wet kit going on very soon, and will probably go back there to have it tuned on a 125-150 shot.

My friend (71camaro on this board) also had his cam-only SS tuned there and it runs great.

Your cold start issues will never be fixed until they get more then 6 mo nths tuning experience under their belts.

Take it to Simple Quick Racing or a Private Installer then to SQR for the tune.

I have had nothing but excellent experiences with RPM. Brian, Keith, and the rest of the crew have always done first rate work on my car. They have been professional and their work has been first rate and their prices have been fair. That's why I keep going back.

NO NO NO NO. There are MUCH better installers to do a cam install. I went to RPM and lost a motor and a head. They tried to blame it on the heads but never gave a good reason why it was the heads. Ill just go ahead and link it for you.

http://www.ls2.com/forums/showthread...5&pagenumber=1

You are MUCH better off with a well known private installer if you don't have the money to have a shop do it. I have seen MANY good things come out of SQR and have yet to see a complaint.
