Not a place I would call real nice. Reminds me of TGIF.

Take her to America's on Post Oak. Very nice atmophere, not too fantsy, and they have one of the best steaks I have ever had. Prices are reasonable, expect to spend $50-$60 per person plus drinks.

Cheese Cake Factory is my favorite place to go in Houston. We usually go to the one in the Galleria, but I would assume they are all the same. However, if she likes to get all dressed up and wants to go somewhere really fancy, I would suggest Mark's. That place has wonderful food and a very romantic setting.

It's trendy and it has it's place with the housewives. Above average appetizers, decent dinners, good drinks, and great deserts.

Definatly not romantic or quiet. Friday's mixed with Applebees and Bennigans. Cookie cutter style and food.

Basically nothing special but always better than MickyD's.

only been once. Liked the food, you won't leave with a half full stomach, didn't seem cookie cutter to me, not quite but i wouldn't call it TGIF and sure wouldn't say Applebees. Key Lime Martini's were great, to good probably.

Damian's Cucina Italiana is great for dress up romantic occasions.

I'll have to agree with him on this one, I've been a few times on the Company dime. And I'd have to say "not a place to take the ladies that eat like birds".

Cookie cutter = if you have been to one, you have been to them all. There is nothing special about each place...they are all the same. You can go to TGIF and Applebees and get the same dinners, drinks, appetizers, and noise with the same quality but higher price at the Cheese Cake Factory.
I am not saying it's bad, I eat there once every 2 months. Just don't expect anything special or extravagant.

i agree it's not extravagant and a must see but i'd sure say it's nicer than Applebees and TGIF

Get some real Italian food. Go to Tony Vallone's, there might be Italian food as good as his in Houston but none have the reputation his restaurants have. Bring some money too. Anthony's and La Griglia are his establishments as well.

Its a nice trendy place to go have a business casual type dinner. Some of the seating is really cozy--high booths, very segregated feeling-- while some of the seating is just awful--30' bench seat with multiple tables spaced 3' apart and a chair opposite of the bench seat. The former makes for a nice romantic dinner, while the latter makes for a bad deal, IMO.

Plan to spend around 15 bucks a meal and 7 bucks or so for dessert, if that's your thing. My fiancee and I usually split an appetizer and an entree.

Its nice to walk around the mall for a bit and then grab a bite to eat.

i went to the one in the Woodlands and i don't remember seeing bench seats, just the nice booths you mentioned. Maybe that's their flagship location.

Nice place to go after a romantic dinner elsewhere for so good cheesecake. From a girls perspective take here somewhere else and maybe go there after wards if you really want cheese cake.
