not too much work man, if you want something basic you can throw any gm engine in you want, they actually sell the motor mounts to do so. You can strap an engine with a transmission in, get the driveshaft resized and it will run good like that. ALso transmission brackets. My brother has one setup like this with a 305.

I think he'll have is running before too long. Seems like he was finishing up his fuel system when I talked to him last week. I told him he needs to get the LS1/T56 (FM-15 cam
) that I had in my '69 and put in it. Its just sitting in another buddys shop.

Ive seen both LS1 and LT1s done, one guy posted a vid on here, very old, procharged LT1 and he couldnt keep the damn thing on the road. I seen an LS1 260z running @ ennis, it was blue but stock, dumbass paid 15k to get it installed etc. fabrication. It was slow, so he wasted his money, probably needed some other **** done or something was wrong with it, it shouldve been faster.

ive seen the vid of the blown lt1 z, i would like to see one in person though, i know even with the plain old I6 that comes in it, it was decently quick for what it was cause of how light it is, if i end up doing a new motor for my TA, the 280 will get my LT1 and ill prolly beef it up a bit H/C forged internals and a decent size shot, and that would be hella fun in that light *** car going through the 6-speed, only thing that worries me on the z is the rear end
