LS1=mach my fav combo was mine and Zac's buddy with the mach motor in the bullit. He had headers, K member, gear, 315 nitto drags, and not sure what else. I had a lid, catback, full susp, and ET streets. We raced 1/8 mile, and were dead even. That was what I posted about earlier. I only got one good pass the next pass a blew up the clutch. Zac do you remember what we ran I know it was 8.0-8.1 area, but I don't remember the mph I thought it was in the high 80s, but not sure.

I think i raced that guy at the smackdown race (green bullit). we had a close race. i think the only way i beat him was the tree. closer than all the ls1's

Yes it was green he later did a built motor and a T-trim and it made great power. Yeah my car stock vs him with the 4 valve was very close every time. With full bolt-ons and weight reduction I believe he trapped between 111-113mph in the 1/4 very fast car.

In short, the answer is yes they are a fair and even race, but two totally different performing machines in their own respect.
Unfortunately for you Machs, a real drag race is a QUARTER mile. Steep gearing is a great way to try and make up for a weak engine.

Speak for your self. It is an all alum. 32 valve V8 thats heads flow crazy, and makes about the same power as an LS1 with one less liter of displacement. I wish my LS1 had 32 valves and was able to take boost like a mod motor. I would like to see what kind of power a 5.7 or 6.0 liter mod motor would make in a production car not a race aplication so it could be compared evenly.

I will have to disagree about the mod motor...it sucks. ANY motor will respond well to boost the only good thing about the whole motor is 4 valve. That's the only way ford could get any power out of it.We all know how much **** the 2v is.

Sad thing is the point behind this thread is that they ET the same as LS1's in the 1/4.

Glad you get it now I was beginning to think all hope was lost.

Joeys car is and was impressive. Just goes to show what bolt on machs can do. And even though the car did have weight taken out. (K member and rear seat delete kit.) The driver weighed in at 250+pounds so basically it was just a poor attempt to even the playing field.

And yes it did trap 113 with bolt ons. Isn't that what most bolt on LS1's trap????

That's your opinion, and many 2v's have made great power and ran great times, but it is greatly over shadowed by the big brother 4v motors. Much like ya'lls 4.8 motor. Great motor that can make gobs of power, but when given the choice who builds one?

A few things here and there, but basically the bullitt is a 2V, and the Mach is a 4V. Our friend put the 4V in his Bullitt.

There are TONS of 600-700rwhp 2V GT's out there. They suck NA, but when you throw boost at them they really respond.
