Just exhaust, cold air kit and a tune. Nothing else done to it at that time.

Mine weighed in stock at 3400lbs even full weight wet. Now it weighs around 3450lbs with driver.

All the mach dynos I saw were running from 260whp to 280whp and if they were lucky they got 300wtq. So from what I gather everyone is saying that at the track these guys are a good race, on the other hand a roll race on the street they would get beat? Or are you guys saying that the machs can hang with a roll race too? Lets just say it this way, If the ls1 guys raced a mach from a dig to 140mph will the machs still hang?

Yup, but why would you want to race from a dig to 140 if you are all stock? It would take you over a 1/2 mile to get to that speed and I didn't think any race last past a 1/4mile. We aren't trying to top out our cars now are we?

No from a roll they should not be even(maybe two or more cars back to 140), but if it's a auto 98-00 LS1 than yes the mach may even have the upper hand. Like shown above by the previous and current mach owners 260rwhp is not the norm. Maybe on a hot / humid day on a mustang dyno.

It was more of an example than anything. I was trying to figure out which platform the two cars are equal on. And btw Ive seen races go much more distances then a 1/4 mile or even a half a mile.

You Ford guys do realize there are Auto machs too right? Funny how you never mention them. What gutless turds those are.

there was a great example of that saturday night! Mach1nut had cai, diablo tuner,DR's and 4.56 gears and is black and the DSG mach1 was a A4 with X pipe and a catback but you guys saw the outcome from the vid against a A4 stock stalled LS1 and then when I raced the auto Mach1 I whooped him twice as bad! I would have like to race both of them from a 60 roll though!

So I have a question to the Mach 1 guys.....I can admit that it is a DRIVER'S RACE....BUT take the driver error out of the equation, assume equal drivers with equal reaction times....do you guys still think the Mach is the faster car? i.e. will trap higher and have a better 1/4 mile time? or do you believe that stock for stock, w/ no driver better than the other the LS1 will win?

Call it what you want, but in the end you're making fun of a car that was NEAR equal to your own from the factory.

No disrespect but who cares which car is faster stock, we don't buy these cars to keep them stock! Its about who spends their money the right way, and spends the most time getting to know their car. I beat dan03mach on the street when he was posting better track times than me. On the track he would punish me! Hey Dan Jeremy still got his SS?

I didn't address this cause we already went over it a few pages back, but I'll say it one more time.

Take the driver out and yes they can run the same times, but not at the same trap speed. The Mach's tend to 1/8th faster than the F-Bods due to superior gearing, weight, and suspension. The LS1 does make a little more rwhp and therefore traps higher giving it the upper hand past the 1/8th. In short, the answer is yes they are a fair and even race, but two totally different performing machines in their own respect. Hope this helps educate those willing enough to listen.

A lot of the slower guys on this site can't take the thought of losing to a Mustang. (Especially one that is N/A like the Mach's are, then all the power adder excuses are pretty much out the window.) They just haven't been around long enough to realize anything can be fast with the right driver, or what's more, the right amount of money spent.
