I'm so stinking pissed right now !!!
Went and met the wife for dinner tonight..
and while we where ther it started to rain pretty bad..
well being the gentleman that I am for my wife, I didnt want her to get soaking wet getting out to her Yukon, so I ran out to get her Yukon, and pull it up to the front door.
Let her get in, and then I strapped my little girl in her booster seat, and off they went..
then i ran to my car, got in, and went home..
*************sopping wet**************
well an hour goes by or so, and I have put the little girl to bed, and I am getting ready myself. and I go to reach for my wallet, and BAM!!
it's not there..
I know immediatley what happened..
when running to the wifes truck it fell out of my back pocket..
so I retraced my steps at the house, no dice, so I drive back up to the resturaunt , and ask if any one has turned in a wallet.
they check and sorry, nobody has
This is what gets me..
THERE'S NO CASH IN IT,
NO CREDIT CARDS
A DEBIT CARD( which was cancelled tonight, and verified that nothing else has been purchased tonight)
AN MISC RECIEPTS, BUSINESS CARDS, AND OVER ALL CRAP
and the stupid **** that picked it up, cant even find a decent thread of curtousy to turn the stupid thing in..
I mean what do you gain by picking up a wallet with nothing in it??
MY DL is in there, but no money, and no credit cards..
whats the point?
If you want the DL for info then take it, but turn the wallet in..
now I have to start over with phone numbers and what ever else I had in there..
So much for being a gentleman..
Not that I will stop doing that for my wife, but common..
It was pouring down rain.. guy drops his wallet, I would deffinatly pick it up, and turn it in..
Maybe I am the only one around that would do that, but thats how I was raised, and I would think someone whould do the same for me.....
guess not

man i found a 20 dollar bill in the HEB parking lot today after i was getting my groceries. i wanted to take it to buy a bottle of whiskey so bad but i had to ask whose it was and i found the lady who it belonged to. maybe she was lying to me... but i gave it to her anyways.

i check my wallet every time I get in or out of the car... OCD habit I suppose, but there are things I feel naked without, or honestly freak out about it...
you must carry a large wallet for it to jump out of your pocket like that though

I was a single fold wallet, and the cargo shorts I wore had a short back pocket..
It was my fault for it falling out, I knew better, and I am deffinatly paying for it now..
man this is such a headache trying to remember what was in there, who to call to make sure nothing happens, and I cover myself financially

I do the same thing. I check for my wallet, keys, and phone. Those are the three things that are always in my pockets. If I dont feel one of them I feel naked, like you said. I thought I was the only one that did that. Now I dont feel so weird.

yeah we went yesterday morning (morning after) and searched the bushes, and around the front door area flowerbed. no luck.
no trashcans nearby, and also looked to see if maybe they had some cameras mounted looking at the parking lot..
no luck..
so I guess, I have a few errands to run Tuesday morning..
( of course I had to do this on a holiday weekend, and to top it off, I got pulled over for speeding on the way out of town, and the (HPD)cop gave me a ticket for no license, even tho I handed him insuance cards, gave him my drivers license number, and nothing was on my record.)
this hasnt been my weekend

phone left, keys right, wallet rear right.
at work, my phone is rear left since I can't have anything in my left pocket due to wearing my knee brace, it took a little getting used to it but its comfy enough as long as I remember to move it before sitting
if I'm wearing cargo shorts, wallet is in rear right (velcro), phone is left thigh (velcro) and keys are right hip pocket (no velcro)
I think I'd go nuts if I had a billfold or money clip or something

I've turned in a wallet with $300 bucks in it before........but most people are low life pukes, sorry for your trouble, just keep you eye out on your statements and you may want to inform your Credit card companies and banks to be on the look-out for odd ball charges.

wow Check this out..
My mother goes into a T-moble store today, and wants to get a new phone..
in the process the guy behind the counter recognizes her last name..
He asks her if she knows if anyone with that last name has lost there wallet?
She says she doesnt know( I hadnt told her)
So she calls me up and says that this guy's friend found a wallet in the Chili's parking lot Friday night, and was going to mail it to me Tuesday,
I was like Holy cow!!!
So I am waiting for the guy to call me so I can get my wallet back...
man I am one lucky guy....
I was not looking forward to having to apply for new cards, and all..
So I guess I take back what I said earlier, maybe there are so good people in this world after all
