yes he did..we came back for one more run today to show that Supras own the highways and high speed action..

we mounted the road race tires in the back and he was able to hook in 4th..he did 228.71mph topping out 5th gear at 9300rpm....this was only at 32 psi, around 1300hp..

anyway..we just got back from celebrating....well, i just got back..he is still out celebrating..LOL...

It was great meeting you too Duy. I'm keeping Ted in mind if I plan on doing a hybrid conversion any time soon. Sure love the power that you turbo guys are putting down.

It was good to finally put a face to some names (Nine Ball, Pain, DUY, Dennis, Eric).

Sucks to sit there and just watch - Hopefully by the next October one I will have the Camaro back up and going. Hopefully will have the 65 Shelby Cobra ready for March.

Thats a friend of mine.
No dyno number yet but its an NA ET LS7 headed 445.
Hoping for 600whp, but he willhave to get it on the dyno to know for sure.

He designed and built and painted that whole front end in his garage, pretty nice i think.

Me and his son were talking and we think his aerodynamics (I dont know how to put that right but you get it) were killing him, 315s all around, front end, etc, but I think he ended up going 178.9 or something like that, I know he put TDs on sunday but I didnt hear the results.

Been drag racing all my life, since my Dad ran C/Jr Fuel in 66 & 67, that's about 35-40 yrs now. But I agree with Patrick, it's pretty cool. Plus it's a throwback to the old days when you could lean up against a AA/F while you & guys from your neighborhood worked on it. NHRA has grown to where it's almost no fun anymore to watch at the track...almost, not quite. But it beats the days I remember when it was tough to get 8 fuel cars to show up for even a national event.

Anyway, I'll be there both days next yr, but I'm bringing some shade this time. Maybe make a pass or 2 myself.

I have to agree with you on the drag racing aspect they have made it very hard to enjoy in any type of really fast street car and very hard for the everyday guy to compete in any class because of the money it takes to compete etc...I'll try to make one of these events when I feel I have all the bugs worked out of either of my cars as it sounded fun as hell I just haven't been able to make one of these events as I didn't make this one either.
