Is A&M too cocky?
Is A&M too cocky? in the paper today, it had quotes from lane saying that a win over tech was "guaranteed"... and him and a couple of aggies said something to the extent of "crabtree better bring his A game"... they seem to be a little cocky for a team thats favored to lose...
if they lose its going to make lane look like a dick, again... just like in the miami game when they put his quote up on the board saying "we have the best offense in the nation, no one can stop us" when the score was 31-0 miami...
it should turn out to be a very exciting game and hopefully we can keep the streak going of beating atm in lubbock since 1993

I've been an Aggie for almost 20 years now (freshman year was fall of '88). Nothing is guaranteed with the Aggies. 
They can blow a game with the best of 'em. Look at almost all of our previous trips to the Cotton bowl.

A&M should not be cocky considering they have not won in Lubbock since 1993. But A&M should beat Tech every year, they bring in more talent. Just goes to show how important coaching is, hopefully A&M lands a solid coach next year and uses all the talent it has properly.

Jorvorskie Lane actually lives in the same apartments as me. I've seen him around and he walks around like he's the baddest dude since Jesus Christ. As for the rest of the team, I can't tell ya. But I can say most mainstream college athletes think their better than everyone else. Not all, but most. Look at Vince Young, I watched a 60 minutes thing on him a few weeks ago after the a Titans game. It just blew my mind how cocky he is. He's a great player, but there is no reason to get that cocky, and that goes for anyone IMO.
A&M brings a lot of talent to the table, they just don't use it very wisely from what I'm seeing. I personally think A&M could win the Big 12 south every year, they just don't play like they want it.

i think this statement is funny. We are having an ~ok~ season... def not the best, but good. I think that its NOT a guarantee. But look it at this way, when ut is having kick *** years (often) they are the cocky-est mf's anywhere. But I dont see anybody starting threads about them being cocky...

Jorvorskie won't be too cocky after the Tech game. I'm sure Fran was pissed for him saying that. Mike Leach and Tech already HATE the Ags enough and this will only make the run the score up even more. Dumb move of Lane's part. Tech will make him eat his words.
still trying to decide if im going to watch from the student section (attending Tech right now) or watch it on the big screen getting drunk with a bunch of friends decisions, decisions .... either way its going to be a great game to watch, also looking forward to the cowboys patriots game
one time mike goodson was at my apartments and he went to front desk and said "im mike goodson" and my friend looked at him in a blank stare. he was in disbelief because he didnt know who he was. lol

Hell Yeah...! There is nothing like being a home football game at Texas tech! Where else can you get called all sorts of colorful names, have stuff thrown at you, the student body displaying some pretty nasty drawings, and not feeling safe leaving the game afterwards?
