I know the fuel level sensor for my Grand Prix is $147 with my dealer discount....I can only imagine what they want for a Vette one, lol. Just do what I do, watch your trip odometer vs. the number of miles you get to a tank and you should be good to go. Good luck with it.--Tony

its going to run you a bunch of pennies. they're going to have to drop your right side tank which either side is a bitch to get off and then they're going to charge you probably abt $800 on top because they're going to also try and sell you a pump. i did one on a c5 at chuck fairbanks and the guy ended up spending around $1600 or $1700 for labor and cost of parts. its going to cost and if you think you can do it by all means do it because it will be a lot cheaper but if you have the money and and dont want to mess with it take it to a dealer or a place where they have a good rep for working on vettes. just my .5 cents.

Go to a texaco or chevron gas station and buy a bottle of techron! My 2001 did this to me, and I read about how this fixes it. It fixed mine!!!
It has only happened once since then and I added another bottle of techron, and fixed it again! This is over a year time period, and still counting!!!

its like $10 and will save you plenty of problems if it fixes it. Its probably because your sending unit or pump is dirty, the techron is very effective!

try it, only $10 to lose, and alot to save if it fixes it!

Definitely sounds like the fuel sending unit. I didn't realize that the vette had two pumps. One in line and one in tank? Do they flow more? Just curious.
