Angry Who do I need to sue?!

My exhaust was just ripped off my headers from hitting a bigass pothole. My suspension is ruined. My alignment is knocked way out causing my tires to wear incorrectly. All this has been caused from my daily commute on CR 917 towards Godley. The roads have been torn up for months and nothing has been done until recently, but they are still awful. For months I couldn't drive over 20mph on parts of the road where the speed limit is 60mph.

This morning when my exhaust was ripped up finally pushed me over the edge. Now the question is what are my options here? I want my exhaust fixed, an aligment, all new suspension and new tires. The damage was caused by months of negligence. I shouldn't have to pay for all these repairs.

You probably don't want to hear this, but I can guarantee they will blame this on you having an "illegal" exhaust setup. File a complaint anyways though, I'm sure there have been a lot of complaints and after so many complaints they should (hopefully) take some action.

You probably won't get anything done about your damage because as you said , the road condition has been that way for a while ! Your complaints may get them to step up and make the repairs on the roads . It sucks the way some of the roads around here get . They are going to use the "we've had too much rain this year to keep up with the repairs " BS excuse !!

I'm going to file a formal complaint and see what happens. I've been looking all over johnson county's website to find out how to do it, but I can't find anything. Anyone know what the procedure is?

they will probably only agree to pay your tires and if ur wheels got bent and maybe the suspension... but def not the exhaust as its illegal.

Take it from me, they will do not anything about it. Same thing happened to me out on the 121 toll road, hit a bump/hole (I did not see it) and it ripped my exhaust off my hangers and bent the bolts in my collector. I called the city of Lewisville, they told me to call Carrollton, so I call Carrollton the tell me to call Tarrent county, so I call Tarrent county, they tell me it is not their fault that my exhaust hangs to low and that it was torn off due to my own doings (not their shitty *** road), told me to have a good day and hung up. Sorry to hear this happened to you, I know what its like man. Good luck getting something done in this situation.--Tony

find out who the county commisioner is and shoot him a VERY PROFESSIONAL email, then follow up with a phone call (or calls) to his office. You will be dealing with state officials, and a little respect will go long way.

Find out who the contractor is that is doing the construction and go after them. They'll want to settle out of court and will be a pain in the ***. If that doesn't work file it on your insurance and let them subrogate it.

did this just happen? how logn has your alignment been off, and how long have you been driving on your bad alignment that caused the tires to wear? I dont understand how your tires could get worn so quickly? maybe im missing something here, but it seems like they have nothing to do with that.

try to find some sort of Mayors Hot Line and let them know what happened...

In Pasadena if someone files a complaint to the Mayors Hot Line, **** gets done really quick. I worked for the Street and Bridge department for the City of Pasadena for the Summer; and when someone would file a complaint through the Mayor Hot Line, our boss would put a few crews together to get the job done asap... this may not help in getting exactly what you want... but its a way that the mayor's 'people' can you hear you out....
