Question About To Order A Clutch Kit. Which Should I Get?

So I talked to a couple of people over the phone today about my lazy clutch pedal. I told them exactly what my clutch pedal was doing and every person I talked to had told that I need to replace my pressure plate. I'm thinking about getting the LS7 clutch kit from SDPC. It's only $399 and comes with the flywheel, clutch and pressure plate. Also going to get an '01+ slave clyinder along with the slave shim. If anyone knows of a place to get a similar set up for a little less, let me know something. Thanks, Ryan.

If you just have a bolt on or cam only car the ls7 is a great choice...Anything more than that though i would put a ram in it..

I tried calling SDPC but I think they are closed on Saturdays and I really don't want to have to wait till next week to order a clutch. I need to have it fixed as soon as I can.

My Textralia OZ700 worked out well for me. I finally killed it and am going to try a McLeod street twin. They get great reviews, generally. Both are far more expensive, though.

I favor the Exedy twin over the McLeod but both are nice units...

^Those two clutch's just mentioned are WAY out of my range lol. I was looking on Speed Inc.'s website and I found a Spec Stage 3 clutch. It's $419.99. Comes with a sprung center disk with pads. The disk pads are a carbon/ceramic combination, rated to 680 horsepower. What do ya'll think about that. Is it worth the price/ordering?

I'd go with the spec III, Thomas (1LSWON) has had his in for like 30k, and he just went 11.2 @125 the other day, not to mention the million other passes he has made on it. Pretty impressive.

The guys at G-Force are having a special right now. Might want to check them out. (That would be a hell of a drive for you, though).

Clutches depend alot on driver as well. I love my spec stage 3. Hits hard and will handle some power. My 2 cents, Josh

Yeah. It's rated to hold like 680hp. I'm thinking about getting it considering I will NEVER reach 680hp so it should last a good while lol.

Its a good clutch for the price. It will handle most anything you will throw at it unless you throw a huge shot on it or some fi. Some people on here have more money than sense. I like to believe that I have an equal amount of both. I am like the average person that wants the biggest bang for the buck and the spec stage 3 is the way to go. If a slightly harder pedal isnt that big of a concern then you will like this clutch. The 3 plus is also a good clutch with a stock pedal feel.
