They mainly have them in Europe. their was one that they started in Europe and then they had 3 huge *** planes fly all the cars to the USA
to finish the rally. You have to have some major money to enter in one of those. Their is also one called the players run.

How do they get this stuff done legally in the states? I mean it would only take less than an hour for DPS to intercept a high speed race and shut them down with copters, road blocks etc.

dam 125k is a lot of money.. Look at the route they are taking:
For now the route is said to go from San Francisco (United States) to Beijing (China). From San Francisco the teams will drive to Las Vegas. From Vegas all cars will be flown to Shanghai while all the Gumballers make a stop in North-Korea (as promised for the 2006 Gumball). After a short stay in North Korea the Gumballers will be reunited with their cars in Shanghai for the final drive to Beijing.

The last one that came through Texas we left S.A. just before they did then followed the slower pack into Houston. 1 hr 20 mins, and my brakes were toast. Was fun, took picture but needless to say most were blurs. I'll see if i can find any.
I think it was 10k for driver and co driver then 5K for ever moron you brought along.

eh they had a guy from dallasimports.net make an event called the dallascannonball.com ? i went once, it was probably about forty cars free entry and you basically just did it for fun not prizes. suprisingly making the loop around DFW we did not run into a single cop at 11pm. but now that i think of it i dont think dpd patrols the highway anymore due to lack of personell
