Default MTI warning

If you have them program your computer. They will lock it and charge to unlock it just cost me 200. I might have to get a new tcm also. Stay away from them.

most likely will get locked pretty quickly.. i've heard of tuners doing this to protect their work so it doesn't get screwed up by a handheld programmer or another tuner, then said to be their fault. kind of protects their rep.

Can they be requested to not "lock" the tune that way you dont have to buy another tcm?

Here are the facts:

1) You bought a car from someone else that we tuned well over a year ago.

2) Up until a few months ago, LS2EDit automatically locked both the PCM and TCM - we had no control over any of that.

3) You sent the PCM to us overnight via DHL to unlock it - it was supposed to be here at 10:30am - it arrived at 5:00pm - as a favor to you because you had to have the car back because "you were losing $500 a day not being able to go to work", my tuner dropped what he was doing, unlocked the PCM and we reboxed it and sent it back to you so you can have it on Saturday morning.

Besides the DHL shipping to and from your location that you paid for, would you care to share what else you were charged for? Oh yeah, that's right - absolutely nothing.

This is all after you became rude and belligerent with several of my staff.

In short, we helped you out and this is what we get in return. Won't make that mistake again.

Have a Merry Christmas!

So the charge was for "unlocking the pcm" or because your tuner "dropped what he was doing?"

With the exception of the autolocking feature that LS2Edit had incorporated into it for several months, MTI has never and will never lock tunes. Once we tune a car, the tune is yours to do with what you will.

Please reread what I said - I didn't charge him a dime! For anything - zilch, zip, zero, nada. I didn't even charge him for yelling at everyone here
