Default Blew up Joshua's old Firehawk

Well I just found this site while trying to find out more about what happened to my car (2002 Firehawk #608) in the past. Guess Joshua twin turboed it. Anyways to make long story short I bought the car in June 2006 and threw a rod in early July. Car is back on road with a bored 6 liter. Now 408 cid stroker.

Default Hawk 608

Well I got the car for a great deal due to the engine being in bad shape. I drove the car easy for about 2 weeks and while on highway in 6th gear I heard a tick tick tick tick wich I later find out was the valve slappin the piston then about 5 minutes later BAM dropped a valve and threw a rod threw oil pan. After droppin motor and pullin heads cylinder 3 and 4 wher completly gone! NO piston. I could see straight down bore into crankcase. Ever since that day in July 07 I have been building the 408. Just finished it about 2 weeks ago. Runs good now, but still needs a little tweaking.

Default Pics to come

Yeah I got some pics I need to put on my computer. Kinda looks the same as I was able to reuse the Weind intake and valve covers, wich I was glad to be able to keep some of the polished work.

Its a shame it got blown up but now atleast it has a good motor. Are you going to put the turbo kit back on it?

So you bought my ex-wife?

Sorry to hear about your problems with it. I loved that Firehawk and poured my soul into it... All that polish work was done by me in my driveway.... including the Weiand intake, it was satin when I got it...

I was in Hell rough sanding all that stuff....

Glad you've got everything up to snuff... I sold the car to a dealer in Dallas, this is the first time I've heard about it since.... funny you have my old screen name...

Call me anytime (678)492-6843

Here's some pics of it before I added the billet valve covers and twin turbos.

Naturally aspirated:

When it had the twins on it..

Lots of memories in that Firehawk... outran the state patrol in it once...
