Cool Finally made it to the track, new 1/8 best.

Went to denton to watch the pro-mods and they had T&T in between rounds so i made two runs..

First run a left ASR on my mistake and ran an embarrassing 8.07@88.3mph w/ 1.94 60'; second run i managed to pull a 7.71@89.13mph w/ 1.72 60' not very impressive but my best none the less.

My previous best was at Ennis, 1/8 7.79@88, 1/4 12.22@113 w/ 1.76 60'.

This was my first time at the track in over a year and a half, not to mention with new set up (new cam, stall, and a few other things). Car has about 120lbs+ heavier race weight this time out than last, i put my full interior back in, heavier seats, battery relo kit, 1/4 tank of gas (usually run on empty), and i gain lil over 20lbs.

I only foot braked it to 1800rpm's on the 7.71 pass. Might try a 2000-2200(my stall only foot breaks to 21-2200 AT THE MOST) launch and hopefully cut a 1.6x and i think i could pull a 11.99 at Ennis. What do you guys think? Its always been my dream to break 11's and to yank the tires Is this do able?

Congrats, but I'm not seeing why you can't footbrake above 2200rpms? with a 4K stall. I went 7.77 with a 1.69 sixty when my '98 T/A was just bolt on, stall, and sticky tires making less then 320RWHP. Over 3400lbs raceweight.

ARE YOU CALLING ME COCKY??? read my thread there is nothing cocky about it. And yes i said he is not that fast, but look at eric01 post above mine hes saying im "Kinda slow" cause he went 7.55 full weight when im full weight aswell and when he's only .16 quicker....

yea i think TCI stalls just arnt that great.. i had a yank 3200 and it blew up so i had to get what i could afford new at the time since i had to pay for a new tranny i couldn't put down $700 for a new yank.. im hoping to cut my 60's down alil, wish i could stall it up to 3k, ANd i dont know why my car has never made steller numbers.. good #'s for you btw

lol you two are being pretty cocky calling cars out like that. Instead of calling each other slow just pat each other on the back. I tried sprinting a 1/8th mile on foot and a 8 second 1/8th would be crazy fast compared to my foot race times.

ah ok i see your point, you just took it the oposite way i ment it. i was trying to be modest about my time casue i know there are alot faster out there. and he called me out saying im slow when hes not much faster than me.. kinda pissed me off.
but yea to me being cocky would be if i was saying "DUDE I JUST RAN A 7.7... THAT SO FAST... RACE ANY OF YOU..."

Congrats on getting it back to the track! I just ran my car for the first time in 18 months too. I almost lost my mind not being able to race for that long.

Not my car I was asking if you seen that sucker movin, And whats really impressive is that car probably cruises 140 @ 30 mpg. I didn't have my car there it is a 2000 Camaro with the 88mm turbo. Don't take it to the track that often just when tuning. It does run in the 5xx range however OH **** didn't mean to sound COCKY jk

ok, yea i thought you ment you ran 7.55 cammed and stalled, my bad, I think the resean ive never ran to good are my converters, first one was some used yank 3200, and now a TCI SSF4, I wish I could cut a 1.5x then i'd be running 7.5's. and be in the 11's for sure..

I do have a used badA verter in my shop I might let go cheap. 4000 stall percision. was running 7.20 NA on my old motor before I went turbo. pm me if interested not listing for sale just sounds like you might need a good converter to run some times Also set up for N2o ran 6.30s with 150 shot.
