Do they do the sniffer test on a 99 ls1 in Harris county? Or Houston I have a 99 that i am thinking about putting longtubes and an off road y pipe on but i was wondering if they do the sniffer test during the inspection? I am trying to figure out how every one is running longtubes and off road y pipe on their street cars.

one trick to get a no cat inspection done is to scope out a busy busy repair place that does them and as long as CEL is off you stand a good chance that the inspector won't look under the car.

84 & older safety only -85 to 95 asm test [sniffer] - 96 to 06 obdII [computer test]- 07 to 08 depending on the production date of the vehicle it will get a safety only also, i do believe harris does do the sniffer test on the older cars!!
