Hope some of you can make it, we always have a lot of fun and good memories. It is basically a HUGE carshow (say 4000 cars per day) each day of the week. Cruises every night, hanging out at hotel parking lots, and short drives every morning to the next city.
Here are some previous photos I've taken:

Don't suppose you have an estimated cost for the trip? I tried to look on the hotel booking site but I didn't see any pricing back when we initially talked about it after lunch the other day.

Its something I have always wanted to do. Like modsquad said, do you have a estimated cost, round trip? I can estimate hotels, cost of events, but gas varies state to state, and I know there are costs I'm not going to anticipate.

Marc, figure hotels are $80-120 per night usually. Then figure out your meals and gas budget. If you find a co-pilot you can split costs, two passengers and you split it even more.
You guys don't need fancy cars for Power Tour, it is more enjoyable looking at all the other cars than washing your own every stop. Some people just rent cars for the week or take their parts hauler on the trip. I haven't decided which car I'm taking yet. I probably won't decide until the week before I leave

Mapped it out from my house round trip. 2,890 mi – about 2 days 1 hour. So for me, roughly $500-600 in fuel. $700-1000 in hotel stays. Roughly $300-400 in meals. So on the high end, roughly $2000 not counting souvenirs or unexpected expenses. Costs could be reduced by packing a cooler & or preparing your own meals instead of eating out.
If I can get someone else to roll with me, $1000 for the trip isn't so bad for a week of seeing the country.

Never too late, always plan well ahead for vacation before someone else asks off for that time.
Here's my map, just edit in your home destination to see the generic route selected by googlemap. I'm sure the route could vary, but it should still be a close estimate for mileage & planning purposes. Let me know if I miss listed a stop, I didn't check it, but it should be right.

BMR did it last year in their '07 work truck. Had the cool crank windows and rubber floor. Just had some wheels and a bumper cover.

Yeah, I could definitely roll this trip in my dually, too bad it's probably sold here in a day or two. Ah well, House > Dually, even tho Dually would pull the house down, ala Lethal Weapon
