Default 2008 G8 (888 edition) Dyno numbers inside

Today through one of our numerous partners within the industry we were able to get our hands on one of these great new Pontiac G8's. The car was drawing crouds even here at our shop, so it would be easy to imagine the response you would get driving one on the street. This particular car is an automatic, and the exhaust / intake systems appear to be very restictive from the factory.

First pull right off the street.

It's pretty obvious the car would benefit from a good tune (Notice the lack of smoothness in the pull). I'd expect a huge gain from a proper intake/exhaust/tune.

Not bad. Now you see what can happen when you stuff a V8 in a Sunfire J/K

that is pretty choppy.. dam...
kind of like the motor does not know what it wants to do.
I bet a good tune, exhaust, air.. that sucker would kick some but..

then stick a little juice on it, and call it good... LOL.

I picked it up from the dealership and on the test drive we took it to G-force to get it dynoed before I even bought it.Now thats a cool salesman!!!Like mike said it has a lot of potential the exh. on the car is smaller than a 2 inch pipe and the intake is really restrictive...stay tuned for more dyno numbers..

F#$* you 2 slow!!!!!!!!!!

Timing is for 87 octane, throw some 93 in it and blast up the timing and re-dyno that bad boy!

Peace,
Craig.

What do those cars have? Ls2 Ls3? Are they losing that much power ? example say ls2 400 crank down to 300 at the wheels? How much do they weigh?

Solid numbers, those seem like some very nice cars. Reminds of the 94-96 Impala SS cars, sure they will develop a great following for the guys who want performance and need 4 doors.

The intake is not a L76 intake. The runners on the intake are much wider.
