Thinking of selling my 94 Lightning. I've had this truck for 8years. I want a classic hot rod that I can throw the wife and kids in and cruise on the weekends and the L just doesn't fit that bill. Anyhow, here goes the list of mods...
1994 Lightning, stock short block w/105,000 miles.
Original black paint in great condition-truck has won best in class at the AUTORAMA, yes the AUTORAMA back in 05.
Bed Rug in the back with a nice Vinyl bed cover
Roll Pan out back
Nice Kumho Tires on factory 17" Lightning wheels
Also comes with a set of Raceline wheels that look like the Pro Stars, Includes 28x10.5" slicks with probably 20 passes on them and also has the skinnies for the front.
Untouched Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads
1.7 Trick Flow RR's
Hardened pushrods
Cammotion Custom Grind Cam .540 lift 216 lobe separation for Speed Density
Truck has been converted to roller from factory flat tappet.
Trick Flow Box R Intake w/BBK home made CAI
24# injectors
TwEECer tuned
Electric Fan
1-3/4 longtubes Ceramic Coated w/3" mandrel bent Y-pipe flowing through a single chamber flowmaster NO SMOG EQUIPMENT
Engine Bay is EXTREMELY clean.
E40D Transmission w/upgraded valve body LEVEL 10 and deep tranny pan.
Art Carr 9.5" convertor 3000 stall
Stock 4.10s out back with Rearend Girdle and Rancho Bars for those hard launches.
Also comes with an Innovate Motorsports Wide Band hooked up to the exhaust and mounted on the pillar inside
and an electric fuel pressure gauge mounted on the same pillar, TASTEFULLY DONE!
Truck also has an inline 255lph fuel pump, flow through design but I'm currently not using it. I had Kenne Bell supercharger on the truck and kicked the fuel pump on with a HOBB's switch @ 4psi, I'll throw in the HOBB's switch if someone wants to install a blower. I didn't want to remove the inline pump because I was going to install a Vortech SQ trim. With the Kenne Bell on the truck @ 8psi the truck ran in the low 12.80 range. The reason I removed it was because it was a good street blower but the truck had no top end with the KB, made to much heat up top.
This truck as it sits should run in the low to mid 13 second range. Truck weighs around 4500 lbs. I WOULD GET AN SQ TRIM BOOSTED AT AROUND 10PSI, HOOK UP A SET OF 42# INJECTORS AND HOOK UP THE HOBB'S SWITCH AND GET A TWEECER TUNE FOR THE INJECTORS AND BLOWER.
That should come real close to getting the truck in the 11's.
Nice, Nice interior with Eclipse head unit and Boston Acoustic speakers, needs an amp to get some really nice sound out of it.
I'm probably missing a few things but this truck is very nice. It will hurt me to get rid of it.
It currently has a bad Neutral Safety Switch and will only start jumping the Starter Solenoid. I really could care less about fixing it, I think the price I'm asking is reasonable enough for someone to fix it themselves.
PICS to COME!!
