Default Tickets for Not having Front plate?

Are you guys rolling around with your plates on the front or what? If you do get a ticket how much are they? Any other info you got would be helpful. Also im in the Richmond/Sugarland area (houston is close enough).

I've been pulled over 3 times in Arlington for no front plate, and was just given my first actual ticket for it last week. The rest were just warnings.

I'm just going to tape on my front plate, go to the courthouse to get it dismissed, then take it off again.

Also of note, if you dont care about your plate (not a custom one or anything), and the cop is being a dick from the start. Just act suprised and say it must have been stolen. They cant issue a ticket after that and it equates to alot of paperwork for the officer if you end up reporting it. All it will mean is you need to get new plates but you'll get out of a ticket and stick the cop with paperwork

Many times they'll ask if you really want to file a report and you can respond something like "I'll just put it back on when i get my new plates" or something, and you're good to go.

I've had a ticket for a front plate in the past and didn't know about this until afterward

I will consider this next time except I have a custom plate now...

I just tell them I bought the car in another state where front license plate hardware isn't installed. That seems to confuse them. But then again I haven't been pulled over for it in almost 10 years.

I have it on now after being pulled over twice in the same week and ticketed for it. This is in Katy where the cops are ****** and have nothing better to do. Once the intercooler goes in, the plate is most likely coming off though. It is kinda nice not having to worry about being pulled over for something stupid like that and 'give them a reason'. 'naw mean?

I've never had a problem with it and I live in one of the more police-heavy areas of Southern Texas

ive been pulled over for speeding and also got a ticket for no front plate, that would be ab out the only way i would imagine to get a ticket for it, surely they dont waste time in bigger cities just stoppin people for no front plate

i did get stopped for it in the middle of nowhere, i was the only car on the road for a long ways and a state trooper got me, but it was on the front air damn so he just said you need to get that moved to the right spot

the time i got the ticket for it they just come take a picture of ur car w/ your plate on and tickets dismissed

i just keep mine under my seat, if i was to get pulled over i just quickly throw it on the dash, on the passenger side, i've been pulled over twice but no tickets. First time i told the cop i had just bought the car and it came like that from the previous owner

i was getting gas at the shell in red oak today when 2 cops stared me down and then preceeded to make the block and get at the pump behind me and the other side. I quickly threw the plate on the dash but they didnt care they just told me sweet ride and talked about their cars at home...cool dudes but i was worried at first

Drive fast enough so they cannot see the front.
