Default 2005 cadillac deville

who has one???

how many Qts of oil does it take to fill it up???

My brother changed his oil, added 5 qts and the dipstick still reads nothing... added another qt and still nothing.....

Check oil light is also on.....

i work for cadillac. its 8 quarts. im a lube tech, trust me. northstars take 8 and superchaged northstars take 9

Yeah I sorta thought it could take 8 also but I have seen in the past where you use 8 qts in those motors and they burn oil. 7.5 qts and they never would use oil. Either way you have know how much to use now so good luck

I sure hope you just didn't put five quarts in it and fire it up.
