Default Thinkin about selling my WS6

I bought it about 6 months ago and since then I have dropped a lot of money into it, I got the lpp headers and Y pipe, a cutout *electric one still in the box* and corsa clones. I've got the volant cai and it was tuned by rpm.
It seems like I keep spending but I'm not really getting anywhere with it, I rarely drive it anymore and don't have the time to keep up with it. It has been lowered 2 inches and probably needs different springs.
It has 97,xxx miles on it right now which seems fairly high but it has been kept in really good condition for it's mileage. I bought it with 95,xxx miles on it.
I'm not going to be able to keep up with the gas prices going up. I know if I sell it then I'm going to miss it a lot and it's so much more than a car to me. It makes me proud to have it.
What does everyone think? I'm sure I'll get biased responses since everyone here owns one lol. Oh yeah and it's a 2002 automatic and real ws6.

i think it's a good looking car, and it's a shame you have to sell it. i've never seen that air box before, wish i could put one like that on my car. good luck with the sale

First of all, how old are you? Yes, you will regret selling it, but if you start sacrificing little things here and there you might be able to swing it. Little things being coffee, gum, eating out for lunch at work, etc. My .02 cents.

I don't eat out at lunch and never have, don't drink coffee and don't chew gum. I don't drive my car during the week period. Still it's too much.
I'm 23 and this is my third f-body. I sold my 99 ws6 and bought celica gts, it was nice at first but I found out most toyota owners are idiots. I wasn't able to do even the most simple things when it came to working on it so I sold it.

I must be missing something. Is this your DD or a 2nd vehicle? If you're not driving it M-F then how is gas killing you? Is the insurance putting a dent in the checking account as well?

If u already had a '99 and sold it then use the experience you already had by getting rid of the '99 and form a conclusion from there. If it wasn't a big deal to you then get rid of it because apparently you didn't enjoy it as much as you thought u did. If u always missed it and weren't ever happy with anything else while it was gone then i think that pretty much explains that you should keep your current WS6.

Yeah kinda complicated... this is my only car but I don't drive it that often. I use the family car to drive because it gets 32 mpg.

if that's the case i wouldn't see any reason not to keep it solely because of gas prices. the price of premium unleaded kills me too, but you know i only put gas in my car once a month and it's not even a fill up, so i don't worry about it when it comes to my car

Do you come with the car..lol j/k

I think you should keep it, the high gas price situation should get better after summer.
And plus you put so much time and money into it

I'm really going to think about it, it's a huge decision. I don't want to drive around a little cobalt or civic

I would not sell it, you will end up just getting another one. I always want to sell my car and actually had it on ebay a few weeks ago and had to take it off 2 days before it ended because I could not do it. People I don't even know just know me by my car, they refer to me as the guy with the bad *** car. I am sure you all know what I am talking about.

Maybe you should park it somewhere else, 'pretend' it's gone, and see if you miss it. That car has plenty of value, if not for you then for someone who would be more proud to own it.

It gets more collectable every day that passes. It'd be a shame to regret selling it.
