Dumbass exhaust shop So a few of you might already know this, but I have been looking to get an ORY asap. My gf cuts hair and was cutting this ladies hair who mentioned her husband had a brake and muffler shop. My gf asked how much he could make a TD system for, and the lady said he will hook you up if you tell him that I(the lady) recommended you.
So I got excited and called the guy up. Told him my gf was talking to his wife and told me to give him a call. I said this is for a 2000 Camaro. We talked for a second, and he was like "you said 2007 Camaro right?" I said no sir they never made an 07 camaro, mine is a 2000. Then he went on to say that there is no way to fit in x pipe under my car. I told him that I knew plenty of people that had a similar exhaust to what I was asking for. Then completely out of no where he said, "well you have to have cats, I cant do it." Then he hung up on me with out me being able to say anything else.
What a dumb *******. I probably wouldnt want that guy working on my car anyway.

Exhaust shop can get fined big time for installing exhaust systems on cars without cats. He was just covering his ***.

I dont think he was covering his ***, I think he just didnt feel like doing it. He said he could fabricate an ORY, then when I started asking about the ORX he said it wasnt possible, and used the cats to quit the conversation. He could have told me he wouldnt do it with out cats from the get go, but when I started talking about TD's he splurts out a one liner and hung up on me.
and how does someone that works on cars think there is a 2007 Camaro? He sounded like he knew how to weld some pipes together and thats about it.

most legal muffler shops wont touch a car like ours unless EVERYTHING is stock, i tried to go to this shop one time with a friend that needed a couple of hanger to be welded on the exhaust, he wouldnt even put it on the lift cuss the exhaust wasnt stock

he was just being a rude ***. When i was living in granbury i went to the exhaust shop here and the guy asked me what i wanted. I told him true duels. he said its not possible. Then he was like lets throw it on the lift and take a look. So he proceeds to get in my car. (Decent size cam) and kills it like 3 times. then finally rides my clutch enough to get it on the lift. he gets out and raises it then as soon as he sees no cats he says i cant touch this car. and he lowers my car. All rude and ****. It pissed me off.

whats everbody have against TSP's system. Nice fit, finish and good price in imho. Then let them ******* keep puttin fart cans on imports- much more rewarding j/k.

I know a couple places up here that'll run duals w/out cats, but that doesn't help you much.
The one guy says that if you come in w/out cats he can do what ever w/out them, but if you come in w/cats he won't go !cats.
If you can habla Espanol you can probably find more.
