This is a random thread, but its still on my mind. I was driving to the store this morning and noticed someone walking that works with me(Ive never talked to him, but have seen him there). I asked if he needed a lift to work and he said ya. He got in and SLAMMED my door. In my head I was thinking "WTF, did this **** really just do that? Maybe he didnt know the door was that heavy etc" So I let it slide. When I dropped him off. He said thanks and slammed the door even ******* harder. That **** made me cringe. I know he wasnt doing it on purpose, he was glad that I gave him a lift and was in no way being a dick. Obviously, looking back on it, I wish I would have said something after the first time, but I was hoping he'd be attentive enough to notice what he did. Thats one of my peves about people getting in and out of my car. DONT SLAM MY DAMN DOOR
Needless to say, he wont be getting a ride from me again.![MAD](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_mad.gif)
Sorry about the pointless rant, had to get it out

I have had the same thing happen. Its a matter of these people not knowing how to take care of cars. pay attention to the peoples cars, who do slam doors.. Usually they are beaters....
Also all these new cars the doors are light as hell and need to be slammed in order to get them to close correctly...
1 of my buddies has this little kia car, and I try to shut the door soft, but it will be open a bit. He always tells me, you have to slam the door for it to shut...
lol
OK>..

Compare our doors now to the old metal doors that were on our cars 20 years ago. If someone was used to an older car, then it's understandable. But sometimes things just happen funny and the door gets slammed. Hell I notice my self shutting it a little hard sometimes.
Regardless, I'm right there with you and it being a pet peeve. I had to rip my gf *** a little over it once. I though she hulked out and it sounded like she was damn near going to rip it off the hinges.
