which bike to get?
Im really wanting a bike but im trying to figure out which one to get. Ive heard different things from different people ive asked. Ive not ridden motorcycles a whole lot, maybe 2 times. My friends that have bike have told me either 600 or 1000. Im leaning towards a 1000 so i wont outgrow the power but i dont want it to be too much bike for me. Also what brand? im leaning towards yamaha but have also heard that the cbr isnt as fast but has better quality parts. Whats yalls opinion

How big are you first of all { how tall , weight }?? if you are under 200 then a 600 will be all that you will ever need .What alot of people don't realize is that a 600 sport bike has as much HP as most of the full size cruisers a new big twin harley is only a little over 60 HP when a 600 sport bike with an exhaust will make almost the same ..Whether you go with the honda or yamaha is really personel choice . I my self would choose the R6 , A very good bike and has been around for a good while...

if you've never ridden before I would go with a 600, alot of people jump on 1000's for thier first bike because of their ego. And alot of people I know with liter bikes never use all that power

Go with a CBR 600. The 600's are plenty fast enough and are lighter, handle better than a liter bike. 99% of people that ride 600's will never be at the skill level to get all of the performance out of these bikes that they are capable of.

things to consider:
~your height. if your 6ft or over you may not feel comfy on a 600 cuz its going to be a smaller bike (well the new models anyway)
~intention? are you going to become a Track Fanatic? or stick to the street...or even stunt ? (be honest with yourself...nothin wrong with exclusive street riding)
~most importantly...KNOW YOUR EGO...if you got a big ego and like to show off...buy the 600, but if you can tame the beast and LEARN then buy the 1000. I know plenty of peopel who cant take the 1000 and loop the bike at green lights...
After that its basically personal pref. Like already said they all pretty much do the same thing...the Yamaha r6 and r1 are going to be more race tuned (not so much low end torque but good torque in the high end. The newer R6, you have to ring its neck to get the power...making wheelies a bit of task...however not a prob with any 1000 lol The Gixxers are gonna be more low end torque...good for street riding. And better for wheelies and such...(lets be honest...your gonna try it and get hooked on the wheelies lol) As for the honda's and such...im really not to informed...however the new CBR's look pretty friggin cool.
MY personal opinion...i HAVE an 07 R6 and i want a gixxer 750. For a tall dude like me (6'3 200lbs) the r6 is much to little for me and i feel huge on it. Plus i feel i have out grown the 600cc. I honestly wish i would have got either the 2004 gsxr 750 or 1000 to begin with...but thats up to you to decide...just be smart and remember the SECOND you think your better then the bike, is the second the bike will let you know who's boss. So be smart and respect the power no matter what. Hoped this helped.

I say get a suzuki gsxr and I would get a liter bike. Imo I think if you get a 600 you will ride it for a while get used to it and then start modding it to make it faster. Once all the mods are done you will wish you just had bought a 1000.

Sv650, Ducati 696, Kawaski Ninja 250R or 650R. If U only riddin 2 times and your jumping on a 10sec bike could me trouble. Not saying it will happen but it is very likely it can happen and very Badley, riding a bike is not a game, riding on the track and on the street are two way different ball games. people in cages are out to kill u, plain and simple. City maintence crews also could care less about that patch of gravel around a corner or that puddle of diesel at an intersection. Start off slow with a slow bike and wear your gear cause it will save your life one day or just make your body look better for the funeral. A bike is serious business, do not take it lightly.
