Im not in houston. But I've lived in some pretty "strict" areas without my plates on(most of my cars have been loud/noticeable). And have only gotten 1 license plate ticket. I think 1 ticket for 6-7 yrs of not having a plate is pretty damn good . I'll never put my front plate on.

I'm in Austin but I do have my front plate on only because the Lakeway cops are a pain in the ***.

i see them on 1960 all the time too, but honestly i've never been bothered. only time i even came close to getting pulled over was a few months ago, and i think it was more so because he noticed my expired inspection sticker than my plate. the sticker is fixed now though

not saying i won't get pulled over, because i know it's going to happen eventually, but so far so good

Yeah, I drive 1960 a lot too. I live in the Atascocita area, but have not been bothered yet. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I don't have my front plates anywhere, not even the window. Cutout is open 24/7. Never been harassed in Houston.

I've always heard that that was still illegal. bc its not on the "furthest most" front spot on the car and it can be a hazard if in a car accident. Either way, if you put it in the windshield, it still looks gay IMO.

Yeah, the Westlake cops have always been dicks. We used to get pulled over/harassed by them in HS all the time... until I found out that my parents were friends with Chief Spratlin (the Westlake police chief); I didn't get harassed much after that

Yeah, because if you get in a wreck, you want a sharp piece of metal flying at you.

It's just as illegal there as not having it on at all.

I know alot of people put them on the front spoiler. I didn't have one on my z28 since I bought it, but that's when I lived in Corpus. Only hassle I got was from a state trooper. He just gave me a warning and asked me a bunch of questions about my car. The SS has one though. Thinking about puting an ss grill in the front since I drive the truck most of the time.
