front plate...

Im not in houston. But I've lived in some pretty "strict" areas without my plates on(most of my cars have been loud/noticeable). And have only gotten 1 license plate ticket. I think 1 ticket for 6-7 yrs of not having a plate is pretty damn good . I'll never put my front plate on.

i see them on 1960 all the time too, but honestly i've never been bothered. only time i even came close to getting pulled over was a few months ago, and i think it was more so because he noticed my expired inspection sticker than my plate. the sticker is fixed now though

Yeah, the Westlake cops have always been dicks. We used to get pulled over/harassed by them in HS all the time... until I found out that my parents were friends with Chief Spratlin (the Westlake police chief); I didn't get harassed much after that

I never had one on my camaro for the 3-4 years I owned it and never got pulled over. The firebird has one on because I don't have a cover....actually I have one coming in the mail then off the plate goes!!!!
It's just as illegal there as not having it on at all.

I know alot of people put them on the front spoiler. I didn't have one on my z28 since I bought it, but that's when I lived in Corpus. Only hassle I got was from a state trooper. He just gave me a warning and asked me a bunch of questions about my car. The SS has one though. Thinking about puting an ss grill in the front since I drive the truck most of the time.
