Default Theft Alert!!: Please be on the lookout. Reward offered.

Guys/Gals,

We were at the Baytown Cracker Barrell last night about 6pm and our Dodge Dulley was broken into. They took many items but the one of most importance was our laptop with the software for the race car. Here is the information:

Acer Aspire 3680
Silver in color
Had the following programs installed:

HP Tuners
Race Pak
Big Stuff 3
HP Tuners Cable was inside the Black Laptop Bag.

There is a picture of Benjamin as the background. If anyone see's a laptop like this on ebay, craig's list of any other forum, please contact us at 713-937-4411. There is a $200 reward if anyone know's who might have stolen this laptop and we can recover it.

Thanks,
Amber

My condolenses on the bad gut feeling when something like that happens, I hope Karma and justice is served in this.

On another note, I hope the meal there was decent at least to say compared to the first and last one I will ever go (I 45 North). Is the food worth a 2nd trip there?

Isn't that a slap in the face, nice hunting Brian. Hope in a way this is the one your looking for.

Nor do they really fathom the amount of trouble they are in if they get caught by the owner or authorities.

It's not just the software that you lose, You lose all your date from previous tunes and passes. It suck but now days you have to back up everything because once it's gone, it's gone.

That sucks!!! A little advise, for now on don't leave valuables in a theifs eye sight, thats like a girl leaving her purse in visible sight in the car. Sucks we have to hide everything we own, but we share the world with never ending scumbags.

Sorry to hear about the theft Amber. I know that empty feeling all too well.

I had a client and his friend drive in from near Odessa last friday to drop off their car. They were going to get a hotel room and head back Saturday. I offered to let them store the trailer and any loose items inside my shop overnight. They didn't take me up on it and I never heard back from them... but I wouldn't leave the time of day in one of my cars! I've been ripped off three times like that... it sucks.

Good Luck getting it back.

Don't leave anything of value in sight in your vehicle, period. Hell, I had all of my items hidden in my Escalade and they still broke in and cleaned it out (radar, gun, CD's). All the restaurants on I45 North (between 610 and 1960) are prime targets too.

Sorry to hear your PC got ripped off.

Did you look into that craigslist ad? It was posted 20min after yours was stolen and just happens to be the exact model. Probably a coincidence but I'm just curious

Yeah I called the guy and it doesn't sound like mine. He is in the galleria and all of his information checked out and so did the laptop information he gave me. Still looking.

We had it hidden in the truck. I am wondering since they took all of my personal items that were in the center console did they just get lucky when they looked under the seat? That is bullshit if you ask me. Now I am really upset because the more I think about this the more I realize that if I had put it in the trailer like normal, it would still be there.

They also have my keys. Keys to my house, my cars and my shop. I am having everything rekey'ed as we speak but still. Knowing someone could just walk right in and take my son's stuff is really bothering me. I might just have to get a gun now
