Default Pay Pal Scam

i know a lot of people on here use pay pal so i figured i would give yall a heads up. somehow my pay pal account was hacked and $955.32 was sent to a julie white with a julieebayn@googlemail.com e-mail address. it was sent in british currency, so 500 their money was $955 american. im trying to get everything straightened out. pay pal noticed it was accessed by a third party and is holding the funds, so pay pal and my bank are investigating it. so if i were yall i would change your password and security questions. dont sit there and say "it wont happen to me", cuz it will. better safe than sorry. so change yo ****.

+1.
I have a separate account at a separate bank for my Paypal account, and it is usually empty.

I made a paypal transfer yesterday for 524.00 and they called me within 10 minutes of the transaction to confirm it was me. I was actually very impressed. Sorry to hear that someone was able to get one over, I know your bank and paypal will protect you, but thanks for letting everyone know. Better safe than sorry

You guys have me worried/scared right now. After all of these years trying to avoid using Paypal, I finally broke down and started an account and am buying little things left and right for the car.

Just do what I did man. Create a separate account at a different bank and keep it empty and just transfer money to it when you wanna buy something.

What ever you do, dont click on a "Paypal" link from your emails. Just open a new window and go to the site from there.

Sorry for my naiveness on that, like I said, I've only been using ebay for about 2 or 3 weeks now but need to be educated on why and why not about the clicking on email/site. *shrugging*

Fake links to an identical page could be in the link that contains a key logger.

That'll record your every keystroke, like say.. your username and password

Your calculation is off somewhere. 500 EUR is 733.80 USD. 955 USD is 650.72 EUR.
