What language did they speak to you growing up? Mine mainly spoke in English or there language but I always answered back in English, kinda good and bad because the only stuff I can speak well in their language are insults I have peaced together and dirty stuff. No one really speaks our language other then other Indian people from the exact same part of India so I'm good, but I know some of my Mexican friend that don't speak Spanish get a lot of eat **** looks when we are out some where and some one speaks Spanish to them and they answer in English.

Parents spoke mainly spoke English and the occasional German.. I speak English and pretty good in German but also taking it as a second language in school.
They tried to force me to take Spanish in Highschool and failed it twice because I didnt want to learn it and the school tried to not let me graduate because of it...
Parents threatened to sue the school district and it ended there. I don't understand why they are trying to force Spanish on Highschool students in Texas.. This was like 8 years ago this happened to me so it may be different now.

This kind of along the same lines, but not in reference to me. My step Dad's mom is fluent in Spanish and his Dad is white, but he never learned Spanish. He looks hispanic, and when we were working for a roofing company doing estimates we went to Grand Prairie and almost every person/customer was baffled when he sounded whiter than me. HA HA...he was cussing his mom that day.
