Default Comcast customers

Just venting here. I was a member of Comcast when the "Triple Play" promotion was active a while back. This service cost $99.99 for cable, internet, and phone. Not bad right? Well after the fee's for taxes and extra receiver boxes it pretty much totals to about $150.00 per month. I thought this was about average for this service. Since then my promotion has expired and now my new monthly bill is about $184.78. If you break it down I'm paying 82.90 for basic cable, $42.95 for high speed internet, and $47.59 for phone. After calling Comcast and telling them I can't believe you charge so much for these services, the operator defends Comcast by saying that they don't charge so much to the customer, it's the fees and taxes that make the payment high. I wanted to choke her, bottom line is I'm still paying for it. Luckily I'm not in a contract with them so I will cancel and maybe go to Dish Net. Anyone have a better deal out there, I'd like to know. By the way. I really don't need the phone service.

All you have to do is call comcast and tell them you are switching to another provider and they will tell you why you should stay w/ comcast blah blah. Just tell them the other provider is much cheaper and I guarantee you they will lower the bill.

I pay about $190/month for Comcast's Internet, Cable, and Phone. I have every movie channel they offer (Starz, Encore, HBO, Showtime, Cinemax), and 2 HD DVR boxes.

I don't think it's a bad deal.

I pay $83 a month for comcast cable and cable internet, also have the hd box and dvr. I have the package for HBO and like 75 other channels or something that is usually $27 dollars. I used to pay about $115 and I called and told them that I was switching to at&t so they gave me the $27 package for 1 year free...lol

I know about some of those stories. Customer Service for one thing is garbage for Dish Network. They are used to messing up programs and adding on more stupid fees like everyone else.
I wish Uverse was in my area.

Another happy U-Verse user here! 100 bucks for internet and cable. The internet is lightning fast and a big selection of channels, including a good assortment of HD channels.

Umm if its for free HD, all channels, all movie channels with DVR, very good internet connection and phone, how is that not a good deal lmfao. some people are just cheap but then again time warner will rip you off, noone gets the same exact price if you ask me, they give customers diff prices alot.

Damn, Comcast bill got up to $208.00 per month. Phone, Internet, Cable ( hbo-cinemax and 1 hdr box) I cancelled the Phone service, It didnt work half the time. They had to come out a few times to fix it, it would work bout a week or two then go back off again.
