Having some weird T56 issues, looking for help. Ok so if im cruising down the road around 65mph in 6th gear or even 5th all the sudden my gearbox starts rattling like crazy. I will grab the shifter and I can feel and hear it, even if I push in the clutch and put it in neutral. It seems to come and go as it pleases, just wondering if anyone can give me some kind of idea what is happening?

Hm, does it rattle in third or fourth at that speed if you don't downshift from fifth and sixth?
Almost sounds like the the pads could be worn causing it not to fully engage 5/6 gear. Since the pads and fork are so tiny it could be related to that. It is really hard to diagnose without looking but if I had to guess that would be it.
Does it do it in reverse also?

Verdad Gallardo Sounds like the 5/6 driven gear or housing. Have you put a clutch or hydraulics in it lately? What year GTO? We have seen a few issues with the blocker rings seizeing up causing this issue on the GTO's and it can break the tailshaft housing.

By the way im the one that came up to yall in the pits at the clash at SAR a while back bugging you about a price for a rebuild lol.
make sure that your shifter in properly. i have seen with the gto's that they have that problem alot with aftermarket shifters if it is not installed correctly. just something easy to look at before you go spending alot of money
