Hey Nine ball you should get some Sea trains to store your car - Water tight.
I went to my friends house in Dickinson (on the bayou) after the water retreated and cleaned out his bottom floor of his house. He had 7ft of water in the downstairs. Was able to get the downstairs walls down and sprayed with bleach and water by Tuesday to control the mold. Brought him 80gal of gas, generator, air conditioner, food, water, and tools. Since they are saying 4-5wks with out power.
Here is the damage I did while there for 3 days.
Had to go back to work in Victoria, but will be back next week to see if any of his neighbors still need help.

Whats up guys, still no power over here in groves, beaumont/port arthur area, my house made it out ok but the camaro got scraped up pretty bad from flyin debris. I have some pics on my phone of bridge city and they are bad, Ill load them up when we get power (posting from work right now). Trees down everywhere, power poles, fences, roofs etc. This reminds me way too much of rita from a few years ago

I just got back up and going yesterday around 7:30p. 7 days without power was harsh. I finished a lot of little things I have been wanting done around the house though. All that time with no distractions helped get some stuff done.

Those pics make me wonder if they are playing it down to keep the family over here from worrying. It looks like y'all got quite alot of damage.
Wonder what the big bridge looks like in Bridge City?

Tony,
How did your sister come out at her house? In my section of the neighborhood it looks like the one story houses faired better than the two storys ! We had a little shingle damage but nothing else...I hope for those without power you get it back soon and for those who don't have to work help out or volunteer it will make you feel good no matter what your situation!!

Just met some more evacuees from Houston today here in austin. I bar-tend on the weekends on 6th street at a blues bar. Been trying my best to show everyone how austin is. Even got a job for a few houstinites while things settle. Hopefully things will get fixed up soon. Seem's to be alot worse than the media makes it out to be.

Back at work and still without power in my area. Can't really complain to much since our house made it out of all this in good shape. I know there are many others in a much worse situation than just without power.
