Default So how cheap is gas going to get??

I've seen it at 2.88 here in pearland, also 2.88 @ a valero in friendswood. I remember someone on here saying it would NEVER get below $3.00 again. So how low will it go?

shhh dont ask or they might notice they let it drop under 3.00$!

LOL well I use 93 in all our vehicles so the closer to 3$ premium gets the better off I am. However gas has become less of what is used to be so in a way they are still making their money.

i think they will let it drop real low, with the way the market is going if people see gas prices going up to, there would be a real panic. this way it looks like things arent as bad as they really are

I betting it will not go down to what it was the last time oil cost less than $100 a barrel.

1 gallon = 3.77 liters...

$3(price of gas) / 3.77 = $.80 cents a liter

I work in the oil and gas industry and based on current trends I will say we will see a drop of maybe another .10-.15, and then in Dec will start to rise again.

Your news didnt stop the oil market from basically taking a rock to the bottom of the ocean. The recent run up in prices had literally nothing to do with supply and demand until Ike hit. There was ZERO fundamentals as to why it was really rising unless you count, "well it should be higher." It was 99% speculation and people trying to save money by diving into the commodity markets. Oil should settle back to $60-70 a barrel and maybe even lower if the recession takes on a global look.

OPEC doesnt have much say really especially when Saudi says that they will deny OPEC and export as much oil as they think the market needs.

I predict it will go down until it gets cheap enough to where people start driving more and send the prices right back up again
