Default Bought me a welder

Lincoln Weld Pac 140 It's a portable 110v wire feed machine. Right now I have flux core wire in it. It has an adapter to run gas and solid core wire. . I just got done using it to build me a spare tire rack for my C4500 Kodiak.

Same mig I use everyday. Throw a bottle on it and you will never use flux core again.

I've got the 135amp 110v Lincoln MIG. I love it. If you're going to get a bottle then I encourage you to shop around. Call some medical supply shops (oxygen bottle people) and get some prices from them. A local place here in Montgomery was about $100 cheaper on an 80cf bottle than every other local (and national) welding store. Don't fall into the 20cf bottle trap. It will seriously last like 30 minutes before its done. Get a big one and don't look back.

Welding with gas is so much nicer than with flux.

I have the Lincoln 3500HD mig. I agree on the 80cf tank. I have one and it lasts awhile.

I have the 180 weld pack and love it. Way More than enough power. The 140 should do right by you on just about anything automotive.

Get Gas ASAP. seriously flux sucks. I used it in the garage the first time ever welding and got sick just from the fumes, never had an issue with the solid core.

I advise getting gas too. In fab tech that was all we used mostly and the welds were amazing. Super easy too!

Congrats on the new tool purchase Cambird! My Dad has one like that and uses it a lot with flux core. I like my Millermatic 180 w/ gas.

I forgot I started this thread, ooppps. I plan on getting a 75/25 bottle soon. Most of the stuff I am doing now is outdoors in the wind and as you know, gas blows around and unshields. When i learn how to do body work, i will have the bottle.
