Check the little magnets on the sides. If they wear down, it will quit. I have burned one up before also

I'm sure they have a warranty policy, but you will probably need a receipt.
I had one that I burnt out, and I ordered the parts to fix it from Dremel, at very reasonable cost. You probably just need new bearings for the armature or new brushes. At this point, you have nothing to loose by taking it apart to see what is wrong. It's probably a cheap fix.

Like Reckless, I second the brushes as a possibility. I replaced mine not long ago.

I dont want to sound like an ******* but its ********* like you that drive prices up. I recently had my dremel go out and rather than fighting for a warantee on it I DID GO TO HOME DEPOT and purchased another one. Get home to open it up and some piece of **** had done exactly what you mentioned. Except this ******* didnt even have the common courtesy to swap the motor, instead he just threw his beat up, paint covered, broke down peice of crap in the new box and returned it. To add insult to injury the dickfer took all of the accessories. It put me a day behind on my work because I couldnt get back to the place before they closed.

I sheared the head off of mine, so I called the cusomer service line for Dremel. I talked to a guy there, and told him when I bought it (within the last five years), and he said send it in. Go it back a couple of months later (I picked up a Craftsman to use in the mean time), fixed. Just cost me shipping to Dremel.
