Default A must have tool..

How many times have we seen a post about a flashing SES light, AutoZone was the place to go but it seems there's a change coming about going there. Without a doubt this is one tool I believe everyone should have and at $150 it's a must tool. http://www.sunpro.com/cgi-bin/web_st...=2312310_61385

Neat, but for the $$ I would just buy Autotap. It can scan codes the same way, but it has a bazillion other functions.

That's true but you need a laptop ( not everyone has one ) and this tool is much easier to understand then AutoTap.

I have one...I bought it last year. I have used it numerous times on MANY cars. That is the nice thing about it, you can use it on all 96 and newer cars. Also, it does not need a power supply or a laptop. Just carry the little unit around and plug it in and start reading...pretty simple. Very useful and an excellent value for the money.

Driver Information Center I believe. On my C5 you can bring up codes and such, so I'd say this is useless to a C5 owner.

Alot of people are starting to get into palm PDAs that can use scan tool and voltage lab scope software. You can even get enhanced GM and toyota palm scan software for another $200 from www.aeswave.com

I'd still rather use a vetronix mastertech even if a PDA is cheap. The tech 2 is nice and i've heard a vetronix tech 3 is in testing.
