Yeh, I have one and have used it on my LS1; works great. The treaded rod that fits the snug nut for the pulley is approximately the same diameter size as the insert that has the threads that match the ls1 crank bolt. The rod goes right through the center of the pulley... no problem... really!

You probably are using the kit from JCW that is desinged for use on AC and power steering stuff. You can;t use this kit for the crank pulley install.

It does not bother me at all if you guys are buying the $27 threaded rod and bolt. Hey, what ever works.... As long as you are not screwing up the crank threads you should be happy AS A CLAM in ****...

..
It wouldn't fit in there with that lock retaining ring that is used to secure the insert to the rod. Must not have had the lock ring on there.

Sort of funny when you catch people telling stories about stuff they know nothing about...

Like a deer caught in the headlights...

Yeah, I've read alot about the JCW and heard that it just dosen't work because isn't long enough too.

I just installed mine with the threaded rod I made it and it worked great. I used it as the base for my puller to get the stock one off and then used it to put the ASP on. Got it on in less than 5 minutes. There's nothing like doing it the right way. Thanks 2xLS1 for the tip on the length.
