Default Not sure what tool this requires? (backseat question)

So I was trying to remove the backseat in my Camaro and realized I needed a 13mm socket wrench. I finally got one and unbolted the backseat. However, now I need to get the seatbelt off and the bolt holding it on has a screw that needs 6 teeth (I suppose that's what you call them). Do you know what this is? I normal screw driver doesn't stay in very well and has yielded little results. Thanks!

Ok, I figured out it's an allen wrench (with the help form my dad). I feel kinda stupid but that's ok. Now the problem is actually getting the bolt off. It's in there tighter than anything else I have tried to take off. Any tricks?

Squirt it with some PB Blaster and let it fester overnight, then try working the bolt again in the morning.

I assume what your are refering to is a TORX head. You can pick up a cheap set at your local autoparts store for very little money. They go on a 3/8 ratchet. I would recommend just getting the right tool, not trying to get it out with the wrong one.... Good luck.

Torx is what you want and you need to be careful with those bolts, they have ALOT of locktite on them and can strip out pretty easily.

It's a Torx 47. A T45 or T50 may strip it out; a T47 has differently shaped teeth like a Torx-Plus.

i used a big screwdriver that wedged into the slots tight.....if you strip it out you can always use channel locks or vise grips....

or you can buy a torx driver....i hate those stupid things

give me a hammer and a torch and i'll make it work one way or the other

honestly though, the flathead fit perfect, the head didn't strip and it came out easy, why not?
