Here is what I have to work with, a 24'x24' garage. Im in the process of insulating it and putting up osb on the walls. Just enough space to store my Camaro(not pictured) and my LSx powered 90 Firebird which is in the process of recieving a H/C/I LQ4 and a TH400.

Unfortunately, I can't ever find space to work on my own junk.

Best part about it is you can drive out the doors, out the back of the property, to a backroad (currently being paved) and it's a 3 mile ride through the woods to the entrace to Road Atlanta
That was Nov 07, still finishing it here in '09 (I'm slow).

some good looking shops in here I like all the wood frame It would be nice to not have to build a metal frame like my dad and I had too not to bad though. we have been working on this sho for over 5 years now so it will always take longer then expected.

here is a link to mine and what it looks like right now

We used to live in the country on a few acres. My wife wanted to move into town (also so our kids could play). I told her that we could move if she found a house that had space for me to work on cars. She found a great place. Normal house, 2 car garage - and a 2 1/2 car shop. Has it's own A/C system and bathroom. Here are some photos after getting things set up:

Huge driveway, we can fit over 12 cars on it:

I hate working in cold weather, so i love having a heated shop -

It took a lot of work to get it setup (it had carpet glued down, i did the floor myself), etc. Now i just need time and money to finish some projects

good god!! almost all of there garages and shops here are larger than my whole house and garage combined!

My humble garage... its a large 1 car attached to a 900sq ft townhouse. Yes I say large because most townhouses this size have garages barley large enough to get a normal sedan in. I bought the place in late Oct and the Chicago winter hit really early this year to its slowed my plans big time. I still have a ton to do.

From the outside with the car in the driveway on its winter wheels.

Shot of the bench I built. It looks deceivingly weak.. its actually all and 3/16" steel angle and its bolted to the floor. I'm hand building all the benches and carts and such myself (Even hand built my paper towel dispenser.. lol!). I still have a cart to build to sit my tool box on that will tuck in under the bench, as well as a 2nd bench to go over the top of the compressor.

Shot of the raised area. I'm going to build a sit down bench in front of the window facing the shelf.

Storage space behind where the sit down bench will be. Keeping this area mostly open. Yes that is a bomb.. a hollow practice bomb and eventually will be hung in the garage along with some other odd things I have around.

Its a work in progress weekend project. The entire garage has 1 fricken outlet and when I bought it it had nothing but a single incandescent in it and cabinets that were literally falling apart. After I get the cart and sit down bench built hopefully it will be warm enough to paint the walls so I can then install a sub panel and get outlets and another 8 foot light in there by the early spring.

Your guess is as good as mine... While we are on the subject of multipurpose garages... This one you can swim in, and apparently it also serves as a single car garage.

I need to get working on mine. I've managed to sell pretty much all of the extra engines I've had laying around. I need to get rid of this huge broken TV my room mate picked up off the side of the road first. I want to build a work bench and an area to hold tools. I really need a box, but can't see investing in one when I could buy parts instead.

^ I didn't notice that. I may have to steel that idea. I have a spare 18x9.5 C5 wheel that I bent sitting around.
