engine removal plate

i remember one of our sponsors sells a plate that bolts in the valley for pulling the motor from the top, anyone remeber which sponsor it was.

there are probably a few that sell them, but im almost certain summit racing sells them. I just bolt a chain to opposite sides of the heads and do it like that. Ive pulled and installed 3 engines that way.

I built one by using 2 lengths of angle iron, welded back-to-back, holes drilled to align with the valley cover bolts and then multiple holes along the top to feed a shackle through.

It's not pretty, but it's cheap and it works.

I bought an Engine Tilter from Harbor Freight and welded four tabs on it.
Just remove the knock sensor plate and bolt the tilter down and you are in buisness.

I'll try to get some pics up in a day or two.
