Die Grinder accessories - cut off wheels, scotch pads, etc, where?
Anyone know of a good website that sells cut off wheels, backing pads, scotch pads, bits for honing out aluminum, etc?
I've searched, but don't really get to many hits. Maybe I'm just searching under the wrong terms, dunno, but cannot find a site that carries it all for a good price.
Thanks!!

Ruffstuff.com is where I used to order all my stuff when I was porting a bunch. They have the good stuff. When buying burrs especially, dont skimp. The good ones will last a very long time if taken care of.

in indiana there is a place called harborfreight.com
there stuff is super cheep......so .......here is where we go from here.....snap on/mac/matco and all the big names are the best for one reason......mechanics have been using them for years......they sponser race cars and all kinds of crap......lets face it all the tools come from close to the same place "china or somewhere other than the us" so we can agree that unless you are working on a top fuel dragster you dont need those tools.....
cut off tools at harborfreight=20.00-30.00 for like a 50pc kit
same kit from snap on 120.00-150.00
yes i have bought the big name tools but thats only cause i work in the service side of this and all the tool trucks come by my shop....
hope that helps

You will need to write down the part numbers of the items you want and then open the price list pdf to see what everything cost.
I bought the intermediate porting kit. It had twice as much as some other kits for only a little more money. I called the order in and it was shipped promptly. Good people to deal with.
If your just porting a project or two, Enco has some reasonably priced 6" carbide burrs. I'm sure they aren't the quality of the ones Ruffstuff is selling, but you can probably buy 2 or 3 different shapes for the price of one good one. Having said that, you get what you pay for. Do you plan on porting one set of heads or ten? Your call.

Don't get me wrong I love harbor freight, but their **** is cheap. I used one of their sawzall blades on some exhaust and it dulled the damn thing before I even got halfway through. Bought some of the "Torch" blades from lowes and cut right through the full pipe in about 4 seconds.
