Default Pics of Low rise lifts

I seen a posting on auto lifts.. Does anyone have a low rise lift? Im talking 9 foot walls in their garage? Do you have aany pics?

I have a 9' Panther lift. Same lift is also sold by others as well, just a different name. Works great made my life a lot easier. Even with only a 9' I still can get the car up to a point to get a trans jack, oil drain bowser.

Plan on a bit of rework to the rafters to gain a bit more clearance.






Only problem I had was my foundation was not up to par for the lift so I had to add a bit of reinforcement for the posts.

Placement will be a big issue when it comes to installation. Post pads can not fall on any expansion joints and must be at least 6'' away from the edge of the concrete. Main reason I had to redo my mounting with the large steel plates and studs, vs concrete anchors. One post ends up next to the stem wall for enough room for the other post to extend up in to the ceiling just next to a major support beam.

Well I got a great deal on the lift, it was used in new condition.1200
As for the concrete and steel plates did it all myself. I paid 1200 for the concrete work, and another 500 for the steel plates. I went a little over board but with the installation requirements. But for my situation I had no choice.

Can add this the install direction for the lift were very good. I had no problems with the install. the only cost was the anchors about 80.00 and then the rental of a good hammer drill 65.00 for a day.

Damn, these really do work. I thought about buying one of these but was a bit spectacle. I got 10' celing with a pony wall, so I should be golden for my car. Might have to check out ebay once again Looks great though and very jelous!

I found a like-new bendpak scissors for a grand on craigslist
guy used it 5 times, the wheels were not even scratched
it raises the car 4 feet

If you're not 100% set on a two post, look into a four post lift. There isn't anything special you need to do to the concrete, they are movable, even with a car on them and they are easy to install. Some things are a little more difficult to do compared to a two post like dropping the motor, but it's still by far a lot better than laying on your back.



I've since raised my garage door opener and am able to put the car a full 5 feet in the air while working on it.

I have one.



The car goes higher than that. I can *almost* stand straight up while working on the rear gears, but have to stoop slightly when under the car (I'm 6' tall).

The floor plate does make it a bit of a PITA to pull the transmission, but that's the only drawback.

My ceiling height in my shop is just over 11 feet. That's not my main restriction though - the garage door rail is what actually gets in the way. I raise the car until the rear hatch window is almost touching the rail. If I had a roll up garage door ($1000) I could go all the way up. I just don't want to spend the money on the roll up door to get 6-12 extra inches.
