Internet Brands Buys site's with big Sonsorship revenue. Bleeds them Dry and leave what left behind. Corvette Forums is next. Who is after that? Time will only tell.

 

I feel round three of my RANT to this issue building steam right now.

Steve is right on target (as usual). If I were a sponsor, I'd be ticked. Besides, this step really compromises the sense of community between sponsors and users - that we're both a part of one LS enthusiast community. Obviously Internet Brands could care less about that.

I was wondering what all this "page cant be displayed" **** was about... Before you know it, its going to look like autotrader or some **** and be so damn slow cause all the BS crap they put in here... I already see a "Carsdirect.com" add!!!

I would be ticked if I was a vendor.

 

Guys the best thing to do is to use your power let everyone know in all areas of the forums whats going on and to make themselves heard. This forum is benificial to all of us and if we want to save it then we have to make sure we are all heard!

this site is filled with so much political bull ****, all to feed the giant money making fortune 500 internet companys, cant they just leave it be without ringing out the site and its users, **** i already have been getting pissed with all the bs lately and now this? what next monthly dues, oh **** i think i just let the cat outta the bag

 

No problem. This has been my reaction to the changes. There are currently 54 post. 3 Pages of pissed Sponsors.

Round #1



To say what is happening to the site is a suprise would be a complete lie. I saw this comming as soon as I got word of Tony and John cashing out and selling to Internet Brands. Period point blank IB does not care about the site or it's sponsors. The are after as much $$$MONEY$$$ as they can get before they too cash out.

I hold no grudge toward Tony or John. It was business. As it is to each and every Sponsor on this board. That is except for the bull crap Google sponsors.

Past what has been said by me above, and what has been said before me by the other sponsors, where does it leave KY Turbo and Performance?

I run my shop on low overhead. I always have from day one. I take pride in my work and make sure customer service is top notch. I swallowed hard to to take the plunge into sponsorship. I dont have a huge advertising budget like some of the bigger shops. I also pull plenty of business from other sites I sponsor for alot less $$$$ than one month here. LS1Tech brought a new market for me. It has brought me alot of exposure and I have sold several Turbo setups due to that. I dont get the exposure I used to for the dollar. That means I will lose sales. I lose sales I lose revenue. I lose revenue then prices go up on my setups. Bills have to be paid somehow. I see these changes hurting the smaller shops. When the smaller shop have to pull out because it is no longer cost effective then the Site loses a vendor, and IB lose money. Who does it hurt most? The members who keep the site alive.

Me and Brian work are butts off to make sure we get the most out of our advertising dollar. I guess what next? Sponsor Rates go up? Site performance Keep going down?

I dont see LS1Tech fairing well with Internet Brands running the show. Its Just My Opinion.

I think IB needs to take a few steps back and see what LS1Tech was before. It was a sucsessful, Rapidly expanding, Money making Business. Why change that?

Because Google Pay's them $100k+ a Year to do so.

All I can say is that it is time to look into new advertising methods.

I just spent some time looking around. Aside from the site running like crap, and evey time I click something my pop-up blocker freaks out. The site looks like crap. The color scheme is different. Cheap looking. I dont know. It's just not the LS1Tech we all knew, thats for sure.

I may be taking this harder than I need to be, I just feel like I am being shorted. When I signed up to Sponsor LS1Tech I agree'ed to pay the Rates. In return the biggest factor I am Pissed about is my my banner is no longer constanly at the right. I agree'ed to pay the Rates. LS1Tech agree'ed to have my banner to the righ of the screen at all times. Now It i snot happening. The more I think about it. The more it pisses me off. Maybe I am alone. I highly doubt that.

Round #3

36 Times to see my banner. I had to refresh my page 36 times. I am paying $225 a month to have to refresh the page 36 time to see what I am paying for.

Wait I have it figured out. I have all my advertising info in my Sig. I have to post in every thread on the site now so I can advertise my shop. To hell with the banners on the right. Put in your sig and just say HI ! on every single thread on the site.

Whats next? Spinsorship rate's gonna go up? I bet they will...
